roll play

september 2000

This installation was a sort of answer/response to my thesis. Being the first work I did out of grad school I wanted a simple way to evoke the spirit of play and interactivety found in my previous work.

A grid was drawn out on the floor and when the red playballs were bounced or rolled across a zone in that grid, a voice sample would be triggered and effected due to the speed and amount of balls in a given zone.
